I have had them since 2014 and never had any issues until we went to cancel in 2021. We cancelled 2 days after billing cycle began, so we expected to get a bill for 2 days. Well, the e-mail they were sending me with return instructions for equipment turned into an e-mail with my new order. I called back the next day and explained. Happened again! I called again and finally received the e-mail with return instructions. I went to UPS and returned. I then received an e-mail that the equipment was received. Here we are a month later and about 5 phone calls later and we are still being billed for full service. I have wasted HOURS on the phone with them. Last night i was told they couldn't reconnect service without customers consent. Well they never had it! Then they wanted me to fill out paper work and send in e-mails, etc. NO!! I have wasted enough of my time with you. You have to prove to me that i reconnected service (with no equipment). Go pull up your so called recorded lines and forward to me! By law you cannot bill me for a service I am not receiving!!! I have all my proof!

Over 3 hours total on phone with AT&T an direct tv. Still have error 721 on tv . bill is paid...............! Started at 9am... 10:38pm can't do it no more . he had to ask someone else back in few no I hung up....... Both to be fired no tv no at&t...... ????? service. Advise I got was to get insurance $8 month to make sure my box works ha ha........ Staying in side has fried their brains.....

Robbers

I fulfilled my 2 year contract & then moved state so cancelled my service. They are currently lying and pretending I have not returned my equipment to them. I have tracking from USPS that states it's returned but Directv are still trying to bill me $135 for "non return of equipment" What a joke! Will never pay this - they are pure crooks who try to steal money from you any way that they can.

Worst company I dealt with

I call them constantly to stop calling my cell phone and leaving voicemail. Hopefully all the negative reviews will stop them from calling. They wast mine, yours and their time doing crap advertisements.

The rate hike was more than expected so I called to cancel. They finally agreed to reduce my monthly rate by $20 a month. That was three months ago and they have not kept their word. I called again and they said they issued a credit on the account. I called the credit card company to which the Direct TV =is cahrged. Not the car. Is it their policy to tell you anything in order to keep an account? Do you get canned if you let one get away. Seems that might be the case.

Once ATT acquired DTV it went south rapidly. I’ve been. DTV customer for over 20 years. This year was a repeat of the last 5: fees raised without any explanation of why and when, followed by hours on phone speaking with non-English speakers who made promises that were never kept. Recently my bill, with no change in package, went up every month for FOUR months in a row. Called and discontinued service. A few days later received call from Customer Loyalty people. To keep me as a customer they offered a SPECIAL DEAL-$10 more/ month than I was currently paying. WHAT A DEAL! I cut the cord and have not missed services one bit. I cannot see how ATT can continue to survive now that there are so many options with tv, phone, wireless, and internet.

Direct tv is trash all I have is internet for my tv and phone and i can’t even connect without their being an issue I’m paying 65 a month for 5 mb and they say they can’t provide anything faster then that like what a load of Bull

Unexplained Charges

I've been a customer off an on with DirecTV for years. I recently went back after cancelling my services, due to cutbacks on the job. I had to pay $199 upfront, because of my credit report... ok, no problem. Depending on your credit determines if or how much you have to pay upfront, before you can get tv services with them. I paid it on 1/4/21. My next bill was due on 1/30/21, which was paid on time and has been every month since.
I got an email from them on 4/13/21 stating my next bill was $199 more than usual. I called to see what was going on. The first rep stated that it was a credit charge for receiving services. I told him that it was paid upfront in Jan before my services was activated. After he took some time to go over my acct, he returned only to say the exact same thing. I requested to speak with a supervisor or manager and told him that I didn't want a call back, I needed to speak to them now. Once I explained to the manager what was going on, he looked at my acct, and agreed with me. He said it just magically appeared and I told him, just like it magically appeared, it should magically disappear. So, after it took 3 dropped calls on their in, speaking to five different reps, two hours trying to get it resolved...
I was finally able to speak with someone who knew how to resolve the issue and get it removed. He open a claim for me to have it removed and said it would take 7 days to process.
DirecTV's billing dept isn't accurate. I've had similar issues in the past with them. At times I've had my bill go up without notice and had to call to get it resolved. I like their tv services, but their billing dept is a huge headache at times. I highly recommend that people keep their receipts and look over their bill throughly. Especially since already paid transactions just "magically appear" on your statement.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. I canceling my DIRECTV they don’t appreciate 10 years old Customers. I spend One hour and 20 minutes on the phone with four different peoples so I decide after 10 years it’s over bye-bye DIRECTV and I want to be sure I will tell everybody

DO NOT GET DIRECTV!

DO NOT GET DIRECTV!! Worst customer service ever!!! You will spend hours and months on the phone if there is ever a problem and it will not be resolved. Agents are from other countries and they are hard to understand. They will steal your money and not refund it!

DirecTV app WON'T work!

I had to go to Florida for a death in my family. So I decided I would just watch my DirecTV on my Direct TV app. Well I have tried at least 25 times to login and it keeps telling me that I'm either putting in the wrong password or user name and I'm using the right ones! So I then tried to reset my password at least 10 times now and I still can't login! So I finally called them to get their help. What a joke that was! They tried to help me reset my account numerous times and they couldn't do it! Then after a 2 hour conversation they told me that the DirecTV App has been having problems for a while and they said even if we can get your account reset it probably won't work because the app has been having problems and they don't know when the app is going to work! After all of that! Then they said their technical department would call me in 24 hours. Guess what NO ONE CALLED me back! What a joke I can't even sign in with any of my channels because I cannot sign into DirecTV app! What a joke! I am so disappointed I never had any problems like this with Dish!!! I guess I am going to go back to Dish! Anyone else having these problems please let me know

I experienced the poorest customer…

I experienced the poorest customer service -- consistently from 2 in-home "technical" support associates and approximately 8 phone associates - I have ever experienced. Two service calls failed to fix the problem and the third stood me up without contact. My service randomly works, they are unable or unwilling to fix it, and they are charging me a huge disconnect fee which Specturm is willing to pay on my behalf. I remember when "AT&T" stood for something ... how the might have fallen.

BEWARE of DirecTV or AT&T they are a total SCAM!
BEWARE of DirecTV or AT&T whoever they are they are a total SCAM! I was told several different things many different times on a 3-hour phone call with them. They tried to scam me after my order was placed and confirmed they told me I owed a total of $19.95 for installation fees for TV home phone and internet after my order was completely placed and I got a account number and a confirmation number he said he needed to go back and set up my Internet and home phone and said I had to pay a extra $100 to get those installed and that would be charged to my debit card Monday after the installation and I said ABSOLUTELY not! Cancel this whole order I'm not going to give my business to a company that is IMMEDIATELY trying to SCAM me. He then went on to tell me he could not cancel my order because the cancellation department is in quarantine but all of the other departments were up and running except for the cancellation department and they were going to charge my card the extra $100 without my consent. And after installation they had to charge my card another $257.08 for 6 months in advance services. This company is a total SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER! I then had to call and cancel my credit card to avoid all these illegal charges they were just going to help theirselves to with my account number. This was a horrible experience and they were going to wipe out my whole bank account without me even knowing so be very careful!

I saw a ad on a mailing paper for some really decent pricing but it was all a scam you do not get the pricing that were on the paper
